Chaos
In the final section of the performance, we unleashed ‘chaos’ using an unholy embodiment of Japanese Knotweed (and other ‘invasive species”) and mycelium. We used a simple 3 word ‘score’ or invitation to those taking part (3 participants recruited on the night, together with Iwan Williams and I), costumes and balls of wool. The score, written from the perspective of the Knotweed/mycelium beings was:
Versammen - Verflechen - Floreren // Casglu - Cysylltu - Ffynnu/ / Gather - Connect - Flourish
The emergent performance (with no rehearsal obviously) looked like this:
