"Sometimes a landscape seems to be less a setting for the life of its inhabitants than a curtain behind which their struggles, achievements and accidents take place. For those who, with the inhabitants, are behind the curtains, landmarks are no longer geographic, but also biographical and personal” John Berger
Viscera are monoprints on tissue paper combined with drawing, painting and Polaroid lifts. The viscera of animals used to be examined by priests to foretell the future. Through this series I try to examine the guts of the physical and cultural landscape, merging past, present and future.
Darnau o waith monoprint ar bapur tissue wedi’u cyfuno ag elfennau o luniadu, paentio a haenau lifft Polaroid yw’r rhain. Arferai offeiriaid astudio perfeddion anifeiliaid er mwyn ceisio darogan y dyfodol, ac mae’r gyfres hon yn archwilio perfedd y dirwedd ffisegol a diwylliannol, gan gyfuno’r gorffennol, y presennol a’r dyfodol.
